Hi all, just noticed my ABS light and the one below both remain lit whilst riding. Any ideas? 2019 gen 1 model.

Is the battery original? If it is newer, do you have an alarm or tracker guzzling power when parked?

I was getting random ABS/TCS warnings after starting my BMW R1200RS. The 6 year old battery was also getting a bit sluggish so I changed it before going on holiday in late April. Not had the problem since.

BMWs are well known for throwing up ABS & TCS warning lights if the battery voltage drops below a threshold when you press the starter button. This could be from a weak, old battery or a partially discharged, new one.

Hi wessie, no, battery has been on 12 months or so and is in good shape.

One of the first things I bought over 6 years ago when I bought my X/R was a GS-911 to avoid the guessing but in fairness that applies to any modern Beemer.

If the ABS light is on, the ABS system is actually off. Unless there is a fault in the ABS system.....Motoscan or a GS-911 will tell you for sure.

You haven't turned the ABS off by mistake have you..??

If you have a Navi you can throw that on for some quick info too, it'll display trouble messages.

Hold the ABS button down while started and standing, push it again,  it should go off
You likely have it in the off position
