Help! Headlight bulb fell inside headlight enclosure

I was changing the headlight bulb in my Gen 1. When I grabbed the wire to pull it out, it came off the bulb. When I tried to grab the bulb it fell inside the headlight enclosure. How do I get it out??? I started to take off the plastic but it seems like the headlight is completely enclosed. Any suggestions?
Thanks

i have a small strong magnet out of a disc drive stuck on some flexible metal strip. Has helped me many times to retrieve things. If non magnetic you could try double side tape, but far less strong

Yikes! I don't think there's any metal on the bulb. I have a telescopic magnet but not sure it will do any good. Even if it did, I would still have to get it out through the same small hole it mounts to. I can't believe there's no stop to prevent a bulb from pushing all the way through.

Indeed weird, the housing has a locking tab such the bulb goes only in in the right position? About impossible to drop the bulb in the housing. Sure the bulb did not come apart as it should have metal spades for the connector?

Sucks, honestly you have to take it apart all the way I've done it myself like 3x. You can take of the front fairing only and then the headlights come off individually with 2 bolts

I should have been more specific. It's the parking light bulb that fell through. I'm going to attempt removing the headlight bulb then go through that opening with a "gabber" tool. It has 4 prongs that work on a plunger at the other end. I called the dealer and they said they had never heard of that happening before

Yep, that's exactly what happened to me, I promise you there is no way you're getting that out without shaking it out, been there, done that. Hopefully your tool works but last time i dropped it in I accepted fate and just started with the fairing straight away, I can now do it in like 20 mins flat

Well, I got it out! I took out the main headlight bulb, used a coat hanger to push the bulb all the way to the front of the enclosure then used the grabber to pick it up and pulled it out. Seriously, the hardest part was putting the retaining clips back!

But your thread heading says "Headlight bulb"..
Had my parking light bulb "fall in"... just removed the headlamp bulb and used a coat hanger with double sided tape on the end, took 2 mins.
