    Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with these after-market hoses? i have seen some members that fitted them and was wondering if upgrading is worth it for a bit better cooling…

They are quite good hoses, only used them on cars before (mainly Type R's) but they have a good reputation.

    Thank you Sir.. :028:

The "Carbon Upgrade" was through "necessity" unfortunately. Not long after I bought the bike in 2017, A bunch of my riding mates and myself (whilst on a ride out) were having a break at a cafe by the side of the road, I parked behind a Toyota flat tray utility, (bike was on the center stand fortunately), when he left, he backed into my bike and smashed the front fairing and headlamps, (the bike didn't fall over thankfully).... and he just drove off, we got his number plate etc...

Anyway, long story short is, the insurance was going to pay for it, no major problem but the OEM BMW panels all came unpainted...and were going to take forever to get...and cost an absolute bomb...I looked at the Ilmerger carbon parts and they were actually easy to get and cheaper to buy than the unpainted plastic BMW parts... and didn't require painting etc....I approached the insurance people as I personally knew the appraiser and they eventually agreed to the swap of parts....and the rest is history. I originally just fitted the front fairing, new headlamps and headlamp surrounds....but couldn't help myself and the end result is what you see in the photo. Still need to get the fuel tank cover and rear seat surrounds but it will eventually happen as funds and wife allow.  :169:
