OMG 27c and have just ran out of fuel for the first time in 30 years!!!
Yep a two-mile push to the petrol station, good job I’m a little bit fit.
They say the fitter you are the quicker you recover, should be good a week Thursday LOL!
I guess the R80\7 cafe racer I have does not have a reserve or it does not work.
I’d rather be laying in the Sun like a cat, than working like a dog for the cash!

I struggle pushing this bike around the drive way let alone 2 miles on the side of the road... ouch.... Not sure how you managed it thought with the 7 bazillion flashing lights and mile per mile range counter telling you about your fuel situation

I doubt an old R80/7 has many lights or range counter to warn of much..
Smithy.
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather....not screaming like the passengers in his car..!

I’ve an1100s(23 years)not sure if the 80/7 has a similar set up but if the tank is unfinished alloy same as the 1100 it’s possible to graft(weld)an extra piece on the bottom which gives the bike an extra gallon.

Had that happen to me on the XT600, on the throttle accelerating about 65-70mph, fuel suddenly runs out i almost went over the handlebars with the amount of engine braking that thing has... Fortunately still rolling I realised what was going on, put it over to reserve and managed to get some fuel.
