    Hi all,

Ok I've not done a vast amount of mileage in the past year about 6000 ish anyway the dealer is saying £279 good or bad price?
    That’s at Wollaston’s

I’d rather be laying in the Sun like a cat, than working like a dog for the cash!

I’ve had bikes serviced there a few times, sounds about right (for a BMW, in the UK!)

I really don't understand why it costs so much for what is essentially a glorified oil/filter change.  :027:

That's the best part of $500 Aussie sheckles. :005:

I've never taken my bike to a dealer or garage...prefer to do it myself....at least then you know it's done the way you'd like it done.

    Smithy.

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather....not screaming like the passengers in his car..!

:0461: I’ve just done the same service on my and my mates XR for about £70 each and that was with purchasing the oil from BMW. Will buy it on line next time so should be even cheaper. I understand that people want to keep their warranty intact and can’t do/don’t want to do major maintenance themselves but I find it satisfying knowing that I can take my time and know that it has all been done properly at a fraction of the cost. I was also fortunate to go halves on the investment of GS911.

There is the thing it's not that I cannot do the service more it's keeping the warranty, as it’s just Oil & filters it’s a little annoying on the price, but I guess most of it is time.

I don’t have a GS-911 tool may be once the warranty runs out I’ll get one.

I got the bike from Wollaston’s and they are just as close as the next dealer.
