Check your receipt, if you are within 2 years you still have warranty, even if it's just by a day. You would then need to take the lid in to them for the tech to inspect for parts warranty and they will order a new lid if there is no repair.
If, for example, you only have a week of warranty left and they can't get you in for 3, make the appointment anyway as the date of the claim will stand from you're making them aware that there is a problem.
Unfortunately, if it is over 2 year since your date of purchase then you probably won't get any help there. I'm not aware of what you could do to fix this.
