    Hey up!

I've just joined this forum and thought an introduction for me would be appropriate. Been riding since I was 16 years old, 47 years ago and have seen many changes in bike styles and performances! (Haven't we all!) My current beast is a 2016 XR1000s sport, purchased from Alan Jeffries last September. It's a 2016 model that was like new with just 4000miles on, in the white. Saw it, fell in love with it and traded in my 1200GSA. I retired last August and I suppose this was my retirement present to me! I live up in Northumberland , the roads up here are great and when I do get chance it's great to ride around all the B roads up here. My only criticism of the BM is that 'meep, meep' horn fitted. How unimpressive is that? The first time I used it in anger I nearly died of embarrassment. Anyway, I've just discovered from this forum, a suitable replacement. Thank you. I hope at some point to be able to contribute, but for the majority of the time, I will read up and avail myself of all your various words of wisdom. Thank you.

:002: Thank you Colin for the welcome and I've checked up with the forum, as you say it looks like an easy fix. Hopefully! :001:
