    GEN2 - Arrow headers

    Hi guys,

I will buy arrow headers or akrapovic headers to my 2020 S1000XR.
But a friend of mine, installed arrow headers and when he turn on the engine, the display showed a light (CO2 light maybe...I don't know).
After that, he sold the arrow headers and installed the akrapovic headers. The problem disappeared.

My question is: some one had the same problem with arrow headers on second generation s1000xr (+2020)??

I prefer buy arrow headers because they are 300€ cheaper, but I don't want problems with error light on LCD.

(Sorry about my english.... I'm from Portugal)

He probably needs exhaust servo eliminator as will you, the headers are identical otherwise.

I have Arrow headers on my Gen-1 and had to fit a servo buddy when I removed the servo...as you would also need to do with the Akra headers.

As Antares said...the Arrow and Akra headers are near identical in design.

Bringing back this thread, i see a guy on YT installed this system and now he put back the OEM. He said its too loud even putting the 2 baffle in it.

I can imagine that since my gen 2 flap delete was a success. Dramatically louder and burble gearing down on low speed.

I run a K1200r Sport with a full Akrapovic and the X/R with Akra headers with a MIVV end, my wife sits on the back without the slightest problem, although both have the baffle in, but to get the best out of the set you you need some kind of aftermarket fuelling option,I run the K with a Rexxer map but the X/R has a PC with a custom map.

Just installed the Arrow exhaust last week. Put almost 300 very spirited miles on her yesterday. (127 MPH, 11,931 RPM per the app)

No issues what so ever. I do have the Brentune stage 2 tune, but I chose to remove the cables from the exhaust servo and plug it back in.

I checked for new codes with a GS911 and nothing showed up either.

I’d suspect your buddies install, rather than the headers. The two rear O2 sensors were a bitch as were the dam springs. Get a good spring puller, don’t rely on the twisted wire one in the box.

    Only 127mph @ 11931rpm..?? That's only 204kmh....If that's top gear, something doesn't add up.

Ya… wasn’t going for max speed, just to say that I vetted the install. Luckily, there aren’t many straights in Tennessee!

Definitely need a new slip-on with a Dab killer. Dang thing is a wee too loud :068:
