I need a 22 mm and a 12 mm Allen key bit to remove the front wheel. Just wondered whether I could leave the right pinch bolts tight whilst I undo the left axle screw with a 12 mm allen  left pinch bolts need to be undone obviously, could this damage anything ?

there is no thread on the axle, the nut screws into it on the other side therefore you only need a 12mm allen. Undo the pinch bolts on the nut side, and undo it then the left pinch bolts and pull the axle out.

It's in the user manual.. On a 2020+ you don't touch the LH side, that fixes the ABS sensor ring distance. If you did, setting 1.5 - 2.0mm will be fine
