I have these fitted and get on well with them. Just wondered what it is that you didn't like so much.

Hmm, be interesting to hear whats up with the Road 6s,
Just put a new set on my bike. Only covered 30 miles and 10 were in the rain. Not a great start to be honest and almost lost the back end. Heres hoping i get a chance this time home to get a bit of heat into them and see what like.

As usual the whole tyre scenario is all down to personal choice and confidence. Typically had Bridgeston on ST1050 years ago. Hated them in the rain and never bought a pair since. Funny how the old brain works  :112:

It's difficult to describe Warree. I've always found the XR to be very easy to tip into corners, you just had to look ahead, think about the corner and the bike followed.

With the 6s, I found that it required a much more positive countersteer to get the bike moving with the tyres feeling like the profile was much flatter and unwilling to lean. The tyres are also much more sensitive to even the smallest pressure drop feeling very vague.

I've decided to try the Roadtec 01s this time round.

Took the OE tyres off in 16 and fitted Road 5’s, had an instant dislike to the front and that got dumped as well and fitted what was then called Power RS and now Power 5 and have used such ever since, and use it as a combo depending on what and where on the rear of either a Road 5 or Power 5, and use that combo on several other bikes.

Probably need some more time to scrub in:-) my tyre fitter suggests 100 mile or "one tank of fuel" before going for it, Peter

Road 6 is good. but not without it's problems. I have been using road 3,4,5,6 for a while.  these are my prefered choice of tyres for touring.

    My experience:-

these are great tyres for rain and cold. any temprature above 30 degress centigrate they seem to loose traction. Me being in UK, these are perfect.
Road 6 carcase is very weak. Since I had them I have been loosing air 0.1 bar for week. never seen this in previous genration. so will be going back to raod 5's.

I ride in all weather and these are better suited for cold and rain. I have a track bike and use bridgestone RS10 on them. which are perfect for track.

I have done lean angles far better than on any other tyre so far on Road 6. OEM Bridgestone s22 were good and they maintain the tyre profile as a result they tip far quicker than road 6, however the Road 6 perform better in rain and cold.
