Hi all, does anyone know if Gen 1 front fender/mudguard fits on to the Gen 2?

    Pete.

yes it does - I tried an Ilmberger carbon front mudguard that I had on my gen 1 on my gen 2. It fitted but didn't look right hence it is for sale in the parts for sale section and on eBay. It's one of the few parts that is interchangeable !

Thanks mate, I think may have messaged you on eBay about it the other day, when you say it doesn’t look right can you explain that or if you have a picture I could look at maybe of it on the bike?

    Cheers,

    Pete.

Pete, Yes that was me - what I meant (but didn't explain properly - sorry) :- I have the ice grey gen 2 with no other carbon parts on it so when I put the gloss black mudguard on it, aesthetically I just preferred the standard mudguard. If I could afford loads more carbon bits I'd keep it and it would look good. Previously I had it on a gen 1 motorsport colours and it looked good. I'm sure it would also look good on a red or a triple black bike. Others may like it on the ice grey bike but it just wasn't to my taste.
Hope that clarifies. It's not on the bike currently and I have no photos of it on the bike but if you are seriously interested and want to see a photo of it on an ice grey bike I could fit it tomorrow and take a photo and then swap back again.

Hi Dave, don’t worry about putting it on the bike as you have explained what you meant quite well.

    Pete.

I quite like the look of a Gen-1 with plenty of "carbon bits'' :169: :152:
