    Just saw that page

    https://www.beemershop.com/category/bmw-s1000xr.html

Have Gen 2 (2020 on) both rear shock and forks cartridge kit.

Anyone installed Tractive on Gen1 are they any upgrade to OEM ESA?

Yes and Yes, huge improvement over the OEM suspension, and you keep the ESA.

Do you have to send in the rear shock like with Wilbers?

Yes, they use the ESA 'motor', etc on the tractive shock.

I changed the cartridge out myself, but I will add mine is a Gen1, so you may want to check on the rear shock on their website for the Gen 2

Since you did the front forks yourself are there any special tools required?

What fork fluid do you use/recommend (link)??

apart from the 'normal' fork service tools, nothing special required at all.

I have a 2018 model, i looked up an electroniccally adjustable shock from Tractive for my bike and it has manually adjustable high and low speed damping. So does the OEM electronic shock have rebound damping only (electronically adjustable) and is the high and low speed damping an addition on the tractive shock?

OEM has adjustable damping both ways, but I think the valves only mainly affect low speed.
