    Disabling the alarm?

I need to fit a couple of electrical harnesses to the battery on my Gen 2, which has a factory fitted alarm. Can I disable it so that the siren doesn't sound whilst I fit them? The handbook isn't clear (to me)  :027: TIA

There is probably an option in your setup menu to disable the alarm arming.

Its all in the manual. You can turn the alarm off in the setting / setup menu

Yes, many thanks for that. I just tried it and it does indeed prevent it sounding when the battery is disconnected. I had seen that in the manual, but mistakenly assumed that even with 'automatically arm with ignition switch-off' that the the thing would alert if the battery was disconnected (surely?) Clearly not!  :027:

Alarm has its own battery as you have no doubt found. Had an earlier G1 with an alarm, it was a pain. Not had one since.
