Hi all, new member from California! I’ve been riding for 11 years now and have always been on Honda street bikes. My commute is 80 miles daily, which I have done for the last seven years. It’s time for something more comfortable. After riding my boss’s Gen2 for over a month, I knew I had to get one!

I sold my Ducati Hypermotard but couldn’t find a good bike to purchase, so I settled for a Yamaha FJ-09. Finally found this ‘19 Triple Black, and with all respect to the Yamaha, this BMW blows it out of the water!

So far, I have removed the reflectors and given the bike a good detail. Plans are to get some tank grips, cases (OEM BMW or SW Motech since Shad Terra won’t work), Navi for data display, and a full exhaust system.

I look forward to learning more about this platform and meeting some local members that are local to Southern California!

Nice bike. I just got mine a couple of months ago - 2016 with 3,000 miles on it. Temps here in Phoenix are finally breaking so hopefully some good riding coming up. Enjoy and I will do the same.

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas!

Already going down the rabbit hole at looking to modify it. Not many used parts though!
