    RPM restriction on 2022 XR

Does anyone know if the GS-911 will remove the RPM limiter or does the BMW ddealer have to do it? I have the latest updates in my GS-911 and I don't know where to look to remove the restriction.

    Thanks in advance

Yes, it will remove it on both gen 1 and gen 2.  I just did my gen 2 like a month or two ago.  If memory serves, it's right on the initial screen at the bottom and says something like "service functions" or "reset" something or other.  If you still can't find it let me know and I'll go hook it up and take a picture or two for you.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check it out.

Just curious,  what part of the country are you located? I'm in Western North Carolina from spring until late fall

Northern VA.  Just holler if you don't see it and I'll snap a couple pics.

I'm pretty sure my dealer said that they've stopped bothering with the limiter now on new bikes? I didn't want to push my luck and find out before the first service though so I may be wrong!

It will have been 9,000rpm as per the owners manual, not 8,500.

It was a guess Smitty. I knew it was around that but I only hit the restriction for an instant. Thanks for correcting my mistake. :430:
