2021 XR Air Filter replacement question

I see the service interval for the air filter replacement is every  6,000 miles. I am curious to see who does it every 6k miles and how dirty your filters have been. I live in a dry climate of Colorado and never ride on any dirt roads. It seems to me there is no way the air filter is going to get dirty enough to replace that often. Love to hear your thoughts.

Kept an eye on my filter after 13k miles was clean when replaced at 28k, just got a new one that I'm going to replace soon now at 43k, don't imagine it'll be too dirty. Hugely dependent on where you live though, UK is easy on filter due to low dust since it's always wet.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same. I have a hard time believing the air filter is that dirty after just 6k miles, especially if those 6k miles have been on paved roads. My '17 R1200RS maint schedule says every 12k miles, and I did that for the first change even though the filter didn't need it. I now change it every 20k and it still looks quite clean, but all my riding is on paved roads.
