Complete electrical failure
« on: July 19, 2016, 06:05:18 PM »
Well I've not even owned the bike a month and I'm waiting on a rescue at the roadside on the warmest day of the year 😡

First the D-ESA light started flickering, then all warning lights, lost the speedo, and the rev counter stopped at random values.

Stopped to turn ignition off and on and bikes now completely dead.
Anyone had similar issues?

Fixed.
Decided to take seat off to check battery and the bolt on the positive terminal was loose.
Tightened it back up and all is well again.
Either the dealer hadn't checked it was tightened properly,  or the vibrations had loosened it.
Not that I think mines vibrates much.

There are some sh#t dealers out there. I really do wonder how they stay in business.

Glad you're sorted. :028:
