Just purchased a Givi Topbox which I thought was very good value since I'll only use it for the odd tour -

Found them cheaper here:

after I'd purchased mine.

Unfortunately, the top box I've just purchased (as stated above), came with a universal Givi E251 Monokey Universal Adaptor Plate and not a type specific plate.
Has anyone fitted the Givi universal plate to the S1000XR Sport SE plate as I'm having a nightmare trying to sort?

Fitted mine, no problem. The two mounting holes at the rear of the plate lined up exactly with the OEM mount. Needed to fashion a bracket or brackets for the front, but that was easy, and I'm not very practical.
If I knew how I'd post photos. Anybody help?

Thanks mahseve33. I lined up the plate with the two OEM holes and used longer ss bolts to secure but I now need to sort the front brackets. I'd be interested in how you did yours if you have a photo? Cheers. I've pm'd you my e-mail address if you wouldn't mind sending me a photo.

@ fjrden, can you tell me how thick this alu/steel adapter plate is?
Maybe a picture.
TIA
