Just recently joined this forum and picked up my new-to-me '16 XR. I rode one on a 3-day road trip a few years ago and knew I had to get an XR some day. So, here she is! Addition to my 2020 KTM 390 Adv and 2019 Speed Triple RS. Replaces my workhorse Ninja 1000 that served me well for almost 8 years!

Welcome to the group. I'm up in NorCal in the SF Bay Area. We really need to do a weekend meet/greet/ride for those out on the west coast.

I agree, I did something similar in a Honda and Ducati forum, however those were single day trips.
Right before Halloween, my coworker and I did this trip:

That's a nice ride! That road coming out of Kennedy Meadows is pretty cool looking down towards 395. I was actually in San Diego that same weekend; we rode a small section of the Pacific Divide from Tecate to Idyllwild; mostly offroad route.

Potentially depending on timing. Getting pretty busy the rest of the year.
