Anyone tried this LED conversion for the older gen XR’s? Seems to be a lot sleeker then just upgrading the bulbs to LED

These have been around since ~2016 I believe.....there's a few who have them fitted. Haven't heard any bad stories yet.
Very spendy though..

I fitted these about 18 months ago, and they are far superior to the stock lights. The only issue I had was adjusting the main beam light unit down a bit as I felt it lit up too much of the sky. There are no adjusters ,so shimmed it down with washers on the mounting lugs. I recommend taking it for a run before putting the front fairing covers back on as it is almost impossible to adjust with the covers on. That said they are excellent and look really cool aswell, so double win!
What could possibly go wrong!!

Im running them on my 2018. Light output is amazing....I've done about 30k miles and many of those in dark conditions and would never dream of going back to normal incandescent lights .
I had one of Matt's s headlight assemblies on my Tiger and it was also a great upgrade

I have bought Matt's other products (His truck bed LED kits) and love them. I expect the same product quality and customer service.
I have thought about purchasing these, but the issue I have is the LED running light that goes around the whole light. I think that design is ugly. Now, if the design was something like this (where the DRL is half the headlight), I would be all for it:

This. I am not a fan of the looks of the "outline" running light so I just threw in whiter/bluer incandescent bulbs and added Clearwaters. Pricewise it was probably more expensive to go the Clearwater route since I also added an ezCAN, but additional lights probably helps me be seen better and I have since done some other stuff with the ezCAN so it was worth it in the end (Soundbomb, etc.).

Really? I think that's exactly what makes them so nice and modern. I hate the stock lights, look dated even on a 2015 model. Fortunately quality aftermarket H7 bulbs and BMW's decent headlight internal design means that lights are quite far down on my list of priorities to drop 400 quid on a pair of these atm.

I'm with you, they do look modern. But I think when the whole headlight is wrapped/outlined with the LED, it's ugly and just tacky to me. Now, if it was like half the headlight (same as link I shared), I would be all over it.
