I want to maintain my battery with a optimate 4 can bus edition. Where do I plug the optimate charger into?
    Take it easy,

Not sure why you would pay as much as that for a charger. Oxford products do the same thing for 1/3 of the price. Never had any issues  :028:

Because, I got it with the bike as part of the deal with the S1000xr gen II and no they did not put the cost on top of the cost of the bike.  I do have a Oxford charging the R80 80's Cafe racer which has a lithium battery plus I have an older BMW charger for the F800st, which I brought back when I have a K1200s.

All work great the new BMW charger does both lithium and lead acid battery which is quite handy and like the old we BMW charger goes into the charge port where as the Oxford you have to put the connectors on to the battery.

I guess it depends on how you want to keep the battery in good order, each to there own.

Thats not so bad then. Unlike a BMW dealer not claw that back somewhere along the line  :821:

I run a cable from battery just under the seat. Save faffing with seat every time. As you say as long as battery health ok, thats the main thing.

Get a Lithium battery and you don't need to run a tender. They last for many, many months without loosing much charge. I have one on the shelf in my shed, has been there for 18 months and still shows 13.0v. Nominal voltage for Lithium batteries is 13.2v.
