    Gen1

My XR came with the GPS mount, is there some sort of locking device available so I don't have to keep taking it off when I stop at places?

    Thanks in advance.

Should come with a lock attached and should be keyed to you ignition key/flip out key in the key fob. The lock cylinder is on the left side of the mount.

That's true on my gen 2, but not on my gen 1.  My gen 1 has a non-locking mount standard.  I don't know if it was an option or not, but if his is like mine it doesn't lock...at least not in stock form.

Gen 1's don't come with a lock which is why I asked.

You can buy the locking kit from BM, cost me 29 british pounds about 5 years ago, easy to build onto the nav holder, you'll need to also biuld the key barrel to suit your key, again easy enough and included in the price.

    Yes pal, BMW.

I did have a parts list once and i did upload it on here years ago but ive lost my picture.

I'm sure if you ask BMW for the kit theyll be able to order all the bits you need
