    Phone RAM Mounts

    Hey all,

Long time stalker, first time poster..

I've recently moved from a K1300S to a 21 plate S1000XR. For touring, I used a RAM mount on my 1300, however the ball mount was left on the old bike.
I'm interested where people have their ball mountsl, and what ball mount to get to use the power from the 5V.

I don't usually mount my phone for day to day, however I'm off to the alps for the first time in 10 years later this year, and it's so I have some maps rather than the turn by turn (and not pay £200 for the BMW phone mount)

    Cheers,

    Stu.

Before I got a Connected Ride cradle I used the RAM mount on the mirror stalk and just ran a usb cable from the stock power outlet near the dash.

I use the claw-type attachment and find that it works well.  Give it a look.

I have one of those too...used to use it on a KTM offroad and if it's up to that task it will handle pavement riding easily.  I also backed the Xgrip up with one of the rubber doodads that stretches around the four corners of the phone just in case.

Mine were amazon knockoffs and cheaper, but similar to the real version:
