    Hello,

Looking to buy a sport se, I would like one with the upgraded electronics including gearshift assist pro, are these standard on certain year bikes or are they options?

    Cheers.

I was planning to start advertising my 2016 Gen 1 bike next month. I have just put the VIN into mdecoder.com and it returns the spec as
    X0182   DTC
    X0191   Dynamic ESA
    X0202   Daytime Running Lights
    X0222   Gearshift Assistant Pro
    X0224   Driving Modes Pro
    X0233   Touring Package
    X0235   Dynamic Package
    X0272   Preparation, Navigation Unit
    X0326   Speedometer Mph
    X0381   Operating Instructions, English
    X0499   Lowering
    X0519   Heated Handlebar Grips
    X0538   Cruise Control
    X0589   Hand Protector
    X0590   Direction Indicator LED White
    X05AC   ABS Pro
    X0636   Centre Stand
    X0665   Luggage Grid
    X0681   Case Holder Left/Right
    X0736   National Version Great Britain
    X0776   Driver's Seat Low

The bike is a factory lowered SE Sport in white with the red & grey decals. 24,400 miles, full BMW service history. Last serviced in Sept 2022 by Cotswold Motorrad and has done 700 miles since fitting new tyres and brake pads before my last holiday. New chain & sprockets at 18k service. MOT until 14 Sept 2023. New Exide battery last year. Services at 541, 2298, 7512, 12904, 18253 & 22429 miles.

I bought the bike in 2018 and I am the 3rd owner. The bike came to me with the lovely HP seat. I have replaced the factory luggage prep with Quick Release Givi Monokey side rails and a Givi top box rack. The bike can come with a pair of Kappa K40 Monokey panniers. These fit the side rails or one can be used as a topbox. Handy for a tour away as you take 2 side cases then leave one in your room and have the other as a top box for days out. I have the OE side rails & luggage rack if needed.

I've been waiting for a warmer & sunnier day to take some pictures and decide on the price so make me an offer! Bike is located in Cheltenham.

It's a cracking bike and I had a lovely holiday on it last September in Spain. It has to go as I have just retired and I am downsizing the house and fleet of vehicles.

the bike started out in S.Wales as the PDI & first couple of service stamps are from Riders who had the BMW franchise back then.

I'll take some pics and stick them here, and do some research re. the price.

If it's a "sport SE" then it has all the goodies, - daytime running light, ESA (elec suspension), QS/Blipper etc. only thing s Sport SE didn't have was HP parts, pegs seat etc.

I started from a different angle to most, and it’s still taken years to get the bike how I wanted but my advice to anyone looking to buy is do lots of homework it’s free 😄

After Wessie’s post perhaps a separate thread on pensions for those of us of a certain age.

These forums are great for that, hopefully the search function helps me further to avoid what would seem silly questions to most  :008:

Just be aware...the "Sport SE or TE" is a UK only thing, no other country uses it. There are only two versions of the Gen-1, either "All the fruit" or the one "without".... electronic suspension and a few other items. The simple way to tell them apart....The high spec model has gold coloured forks, the lower spec model has black forks....

The 2015/2016 models are Euro-3 and 160hp, 2017 thru 2019 are Euro-4 and 165hp...but they're essentially the same bike...but with some minor mechanical differences.

    Smithy.
