I have my etl camshaft chain tensioner at my house, and the castrol oil.
I wonder if the engine will run quieter now. Are there any tips for this small maintenance? Plz shoot!

Nothing too special. I did this on my 16 a few months back with the SoCal motowerks version, but it looks the same. They have instructions on You Boob https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt0tqzN0IeI for how to do it that you may find helpful. Basically, put it in loose or slack and tighten until the noise just goes away. Don't know if I am assuming too much about your mechanical skills but this would be a difficulty of 1 on a scale of 1-10.

Is there a lot of body parts that need to be removed?

No, just the right side fairing. The CCT is a simple 20min job.

I have zero clue if my cam chain is noisier than normal or just normal so I recorded it, cold start.

Sounds normal to me but videos are notorious for poorly representing sounds. No matter what, going to a manual CCT is a cheap investment in peace of ears and mind.

I think so too. It looks like if I follow the instructions I can't eff things up.

    Thanks for listening  :028:

You bet. Perhaps the highest and best use of any motorcycle forum is for fellow DIY folks to get the knowledge and courage to tackle things. Otherwise, we'd all be poorer and lonelier!

Everything went very well. The first time you loosen the fairing is half an hour of work. The tensioner itself 20min.

No more start up rattling. The tensioner got stuck about halfway through and couldn't get past that point! Big test tomorrow. :046:
