S1000XR AUX lights / Fog Lights?

So I've been looking thru the threads on this forum, but don't have any clean answers.

So what is everyone running? Stock, Darla, Denali, etc. Let me see some pics please. I never had stock fog lights, guy dropped the bike and never put them back.

How much of a difference is between OEM BMW 'Nano' fog lights compare to Clearwater Darla vs Denali D2 or whatever you have?

Gen 1 - Clearwater Darlas with their "beak mount" mounting option, Hex ezCAN

Gen 2 - stock BMW lights mounted on Evotech frame slider/light mounts (doesn't look much diff than stock, but if you want a pic let me know)

    Pic of gen 1:

Nice I like it. Darlas are expensive, but I guess you get what you paid for. I would have to mount it on guard rail or somewhere underneath where the forks are, not sure if they're going to be in the way when turning.

I had Denali's on my AT and used the bike specific Denali mount and those were a great solution too.  I have also mounted them to the crashbars using generic lightbar clamps on my old GS.  All sorts of ways you can hook them up.  I know opinions differ, but IMHO, ezCAN is the way to go with BMWs.  It's much easier than fiddling with tapping a trigger wire and futzing about with high beam/low beam and on/off switch stuff.

I purchased BajaDesign lights (they’re known in the off-road racing scene here in the states) and mounted them to my front fender.

They’re wired to a strobing module which allows me to strobe the lights while I split lanes. It’s great because the drivers move over for me.

Nice. One question, don't they shake alot which they are mounted to the moving part of the fender\wheel, instead of upper forks?

I wonder how $600 Darla fog lights compare to $55  :007:

Darla 4000Lm, and these are 6000Lm

All 4 lights for around £100.00 plenty bright enough.

This is the 3rd bike the bottom pair have been fitted to over the last 6 years, (£36) top lamps are new (£59)

Ezcan fitted, so the lower lights turn off when I indicate..

You could probably duct tape some candles to the bike and come in under $5 if that's your goal.  Just make sure to pack plenty of matches or a Zippo..

I for one, don't have denali money.  :034: I need to be seen rather than see in the dark, so lights on a budget seemed like the right way to go..  :028:
