Been seriously looking into the stage one and just about talked myself into it but noticed yesterday it went up to $895 so with shipping and tax I'm looking at a few dollars shy of $1000.

That's a tough sell even for me.

Not sure how they can justify increasing the price for what it is... Especially for existing solutions.

That's my feeling as well. Granted things have gotten expensive across the board due to (fill in the blank) but damn, $800 was a wee bit past my justify line but now no way. It's not like I don't love my XR as is and it runs great so I really don't have anything to fix or make better.

Check out BHP UK as they do exactly the same thing as Brentune. It might work out cheaper maybe even though it’s imported.

Or send you ECU to Phil Crowe for "Repair" then there will be no import duty :-)

Same here and yeah $1K is like 2 years of insurance or 2 helmets or 1 helmet and a jacket or helmet and pants or helmet 2 tires or 4 tires
I'd split it with ya but the handheld is locked to 1 bike, was thinking about mail in tune but this can be a pain when taking the bike to the dealer for whatever.... My bike runs just fine, but I am curious what this thing is like when some of the restrictions are removed, again $1K hard for me to justify, wish I knew someone with a gen 2 with a stage 1 flash, this will definitely get me off the fence or maybe a group buy to knock off a couple hundred ??

Glad I caught the Black Friday sale, I would have passed at this price.

The more I thought about it the more no effing way I got. I'd do a group buy but it would have to be one heck of a deal.

Worst part was that excitement that built up wanting to get something for my bike. To soften the blow I ordered a Sargent seat, I didn't think it would have been wise to go cold turkey.

Cold turkey... very unhealthy, it's all about mental health these days...lol
For now I think I'm gonna get some tires, not really feeling these OEM Metzelers
Maybe wait until next black friday sale and hope they offer it again at a reasonable number

I can't say enough good things about Michelin Roads 5 or 6. Maybe a wee tiny bit pricier but they're worth it.

Your XR deserves the best shoes.
