I did a quick search to see if this had been covered before - apologies if I'm going over old ground!

Reading through a few MCN articles recently and they are highlighting some great bikers cafes around the country and thought I'd see what peoples favourites are.  I like to tie in a ride out on the bike with a bacon roll so it makes sense to me.

I tend to go to the Old Smithy in Monyash the most, great little cafe, early on Saturdays and Sundays you can get a nice bike crowd or car club.

Also visited and can confirm they sell bacon rolls! The Long Itch Diner, Long Itchington, The Supersausage Cafe in Towcester.

Most of mine are Midlands ish and Peak District but always on the look out for a new place to visit.

Dom's Bike Stop on the A44 just outside Leominster opens again on 4th April https://www.facebook.com/groups/109649105752105

It's a good location to assemble for those from the Midlands heading into the Brecon Beacons, Elan Valley, Cambrian Mountains and the Cardigan Bay coast.

At the coast, head for Aberaeron and the New Celtic cafe/chip shop in the Harbour. Much nicer than Aberystwyth.

If using the A40 then Glanusk Services, west of Brecon in Sennybridge is the best stop on that road. Not as busy as Llandovery and used by the local fast response car with police and paramedic janitors. https://goo.gl/maps/t5k1c27GX2FkCY6W9

Not really a biker cafe but for those near the Peak District, Derwent valley, "Upper Derwent visitor centre", it's a little "hidden" nature reserve with some good hotdogs and paninis and hot drinks, duck feeding, nice view, close to nature, bikers frequently make a stop there, beware, there is NO RECEPTION once you go down the road to it though.

I'll have to stop by at some point.

To add another, the Flash Cafe http://www.flashbarstores.co.uk/ I had to pitstop here when riding through a rain cloud on the way to the cat and fiddle.  Small little cafe but very welcoming.

Favourite cafe? Now that’s a complicated question cuz part of any cafe visit for us us is the trip there, perfect example.. the Ponderosa on top of the Horseshoe pass, great cafe and food but a mediocre ride there at best, now of you want both, it’ll be Crossgates cafe out Llandrindod Wells way, a great ride out there, but Jeeze if your ever get done for speeding there’s always camera van out there waiting for you.

Want to see how the other half spend their money 😄 Touchdown cafe Wellesbourne airfield near Stratford-on-Avon, some of the private planes that turn up making this biking lark look bargain basement.

Another complete one off….got a Wednesday off,HoarPark near Coleshill here in the West Mids, it’s a bike meet every week which we go too, and the kit that folks turn up on never ceases to amaze, from the latest wiz bang to yesterday an as brand new pre unit Triumph T110,and even yesterday there must have been 150 bikers.

Guess these are all relative as to where in the UK you are or prepared to blip out to, all avoiding the boring motorways.

Manchester outbound into Wales there the obligatory Ponderosa, Betws-y-coed is a good ride and good few hours zig zagging there. Bala lake gathers a decent crowd regularly, Lake Vyrnwy Dam has some good roads to get you there and the cafe is decent food n prices. Once in Wales though the A and B roads are good, less speed camera vans on the B roads.

North bound into Lancs Cumbria the popular Devils bridge with an abundance of roads around it, either blip over to west to Windermere on the A5074, a few cafes by the boat launch but not very bikey. Another hidden cafe on route up the A65 is Elaines tearooms which is decent for bikes.

Settle village has the Naked Man cafe, usual bike stuff with outdoor seating, bit hit n miss on parking with view of the bike due to market days taking up the opposite car park, generally OK though but check or just ride on through to Hawes and the Penny Garth Cafe, decent food.

East bound up n over the Cat & Fiddle to Matlock Bath where lots of cafes n bikes go, also Ladybower Reservoir has a decent cafe and parking.

Goat Gap cafe (was a Little Chef) on the A65 between Settle & Ingleton is excellent and surrounded by great roads

Do a lap of the forest of Bowland, stop for a bite to eat then go for a loop in the Dales.
