Got to get to Lake Konstanz, and did some lesser-known passes through Switzerland which were amazing because they were again completely empty, and at some point, we were gunning down a Swiss pass and three RS3 Porsches on U.A.E. plates behind me. It was cool and dangerous as Swiss passes were sunny but cold with loads of snow.

Do you know which passes you used in Switzerland. I am out there in a week and will be going down to Lake Garda via Belgium, Germany and Austria and then back up through Switzerland to France (Dijon, Reims and Calais) on our way back and I really would prefer to do passes rather than tunnels and most of the websites I am looking at are saying that the majority of passes are still closed and will likely be until June. Thanks.

A little bit further down into Italy and away from all the well known touristy areas. It is called Garfagnana

    https://mytravelintuscany.com/garfagnana-italy-tuscany/

The Italian bikers ride here a lot, as I have done, and it has everything. You could stop in Lucca and then work your way back towards France via Aosta etc and onto your plan for Dijon, Reims etc.

As an aside Barga is very Anglo Italian and has a lot of Italian Scots or Scots Italians whichever you prefer 😁

thanks Diavel, probably have to give it a miss this time as we are meeting a mate in Meiringen (Switzerland) after Garda on our way up towards Dijon so on a schedule for that bit.
But I'll bear it in mind as I guess I'll need to make another trip at some point to check it out  :002:
