Just wondering if someone has a video or picture step by step to remove exhaust and drop oil pan/replace sealant? My oil pan has a slow weep and I’m going “into battle” with it soon. Want to see it done before I start.

Gen-1 or Gen-2..?? Either way, it's not too difficult, just time consuming.

Just be careful it isn't a porous oil pan, there were a few of those reported on here.

    Smithy.

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather....not screaming like the passengers in his car..!

Forgot to mention it’s a 2016. It doesn’t seem to be a porous pan. It’s weeping from the seam on the left side of the motorbike.

Looking to find out best way to remove exhaust and torque requirements for the 13 screws around the pan itself. And any other pearls of wisdom!

Torque requirements —CHECK! Many thanks. Do I really need to replace those screws? I mean, they’re just screws.

Now for exhaust-would I just remove it from the engine block? Seems the only way to me.

A gearhead I’m not. But I’m gonna struggle through this one. BMW service wants $370 to do it.

they are torque to yield screws ( they stretch).

for the exhaust, yes you are going to have to drop the full exhaust. loosening the oil cooler and radiator completely(not the pipes and tubes) helps give a little more space to get in there. If you look around the internet there are many videos on removing/replacing the exhaust you can review R/RR/XR as they are pretty similar with regard to exhaust nuts and bolts. Get a long 10mm 12 point socket for the manifold nuts.
