I have been off for a while but happy to be back and happy to say that I just took delivery of my new 2023 S1000XR M! Got out for a ride and am really impressed so far.
Traded in my '17 XR and it has already been sold to someone new to enjoy. Got the new one loaded with 3 bags (large top case), TFT protector, Aux lights and M Chain Adjusters with the assembly stand hooks. A question about those, does anyone know what the pointed piece is for that sticks out from the assembly stand hook on the chain side? It actually looks like a bottle opener (?). I have asked, searched online and cannot find an answer to what it's for. Probably something that I'll kick myself for not knowing later.
Anyway, so far so good. It seems like a big improvement over the last gen. I'm also an instructor and licence tester and will be teaching with it, on track, at the end of May so I'm really looking forward to that.
