I have recently changed my bike, moving from a R1250 RS to a new S1000XR.
I used my IPhone 12 on the RS and also on another BMW. After 2 rides on the XR my phones Camera won’t focus, the phone vibrates and makes a noise if you try to use the Camera. I’m not sure if it’s the bike that has killed my phone or it is just a coincidence. The engine is worlds apart from the lazy twin. Even running in ( first 200 miles, don’t exceed 7000rpm )
I’ve tried to see if anyone has had similar experiences as mine. Lots of scare articles, but I couldn’t find anything definitive.
Has anyone had a similar experience to me?

Hi, vibration from inline fours killing iPhone cameras is a well documented problem.
I use a quad lock with vibration damper and wireless charger, not had an issue with it.

I suggest you then use another type of phone with the connected cradle or use an older version of iPhone which you don’t mind buggering camera up.
Or use your 12 in cradle and you then have an excuse to buy your self new iPhone 14 👍
