Brand new Sport Windscreen

Brand new BMW M Package sports windscreen available when I collect my S 1000 XR on 1st July.
If I have a buyer for the windscreen I will swap it with my touring screen before even leaving the dealer (in the UK).

Hi Charlie,

According to the BMW confgurator it is a clear sports screen that comes with the M Package both from the image and the accompanying text - even if the 360 degree 'walkaround' photo in the same configurator shows a tinted screen!

If it’s not tinted then I could be interested, depending on the price. Want to try a lower screen and see if it reduces wind noise for me.

I'll find out on 1st July, so will post within a few days of then, Richard.  Not the same day as I hope to be having lots of fun helping to put 600 miles under the wheels before the following weekend's running-in service.

Well, 1st July went as planned and I am now the very proud owner of a new S1000XR TE with M package.

As for CjKnightXR's comment "You'll love it", I certainly do!  What an epic, epic machine.  The running-in service was accomplished a week after collection and on Wednesday my pillion son and I head off to the far side of the Czech Republic where my wife and daughter arrived a few days back by air. 

Back to the sports screen; it is tinted and as requested of the dealer is still in its original packaging.  Along with the mounting bolts and rubbers it has never been fitted to the machine.  I fitted my Vario screen at the dealer before riding off.   

I've found this OEM screen for £205 online, so let's say £60 plus post and packing after I return from my tour at the end of July.  Life is a bit packed until then.  If near to Stratford-upon-Avon, then also once back, I'm happy to have a ride out in place of post and packing.
