    Hi,
Would there be a set of mirrors equivalent to those of the M1000R compatible with the S1000XR?

I guess you could take off the hand guards on the XR and add these bar end mirrors instead.

There are quite a few bar end type mirrors that work with handguards. These Rottweiler ones are popular - but cost your first born son  :156:

I fitted these to mine last week but I haven't ridden with them. Although I have left off the hand guards, i did have a spacer in my bits bin that would allow me to fit the hand guards and the bar end mirrors.

Please note that I have also swapped the bars for the r1200r bars and fitted risers to bring them back to roughly where the XR bars where but they are narrower.

I'll post a ride report after the weekend. I have to say, the narrower bars do feel natural as opposed to always feeling like the XR bars are too wide and not quite natural, just my feelings though, others don't seem to mind them.

A company called HJR do decent quality ones for about 45 quid for the pair, check them out, they come with the mirror ring clamp and bar inner clamp separate so you can probably fit onto original hardware if needed.

I had an afternoon on the M1000R yesterday and whilst the bar end mirrors look the part and are super effective up to around 65/70mph they are absolutely useless above that speed, unless you are someone who likes to look at amaizing spiralling blurry images.

I can only imagine it will be worse on longer/wider bars of an XR. 😵‍💫🤪
    Cheers,

Do they allow test rides on the M1000R then? Just checking because not sure if thats the case but some companies wont let you test ride limited series runs, afaik the M1000R isn't limited but the RR is isn't it? Just wanna make sure I can nick an M1000XR for a test ride as soon as they hit the shops.
