    Hi all
Im picking up a Gen 2 next week & looking for a little advice on removing the original nav mount & cables to install the XT. Do I need to remove any panels & if so which ones. I have an adapter plug from BMW so hopefully it’s just plug & play.
    Thanks

I changed my BMW satnav mount for a TomTom mount. If you have the correct cable with the BMW end connector (I obtained one from Nippy Normans) it is a straight swap with the original power lead under the forward panel to your left as sat on the bike. I didn't have to take the panel off, just traced the cable back and could reach the connector to swap the cables over then routed the TomTom one up following the existing cable route.

Yes as far as I can remember and the instructions tell you which wires to use dependant upon what device and what bike as I believe it can be used on multiple bikes and with both TomTom and Garmin devices.

I fitted this adapter and you can buy it with a modified locking arm

Im looking for a lead to go from a 3D mount into a TT rider 4 mount. I have the 3D mount to go onto the satnav cradle but i don't have a lead. The kit from Nippy Normans' won't work.
