The XR is staying.. 

The r1200r has after market suspension, some carbon fibre goodies and is absolutely immaculate.. I watch a HD video of it and the guy had a hard time finding anything to point out, one tiny chip on the fork leg, a tiny chip on the cylinder head and a very fine scratch on the can.. 28k miles 2011.. Lovely, I just had to have it.. It's my first time as a 2 bike dad..

Underrated bike!

You’ll probably end up getting luggage for it and using it for weekends away

And before you know it - you will be doing 2wk tours on it.

6 months after that - you will wonder what happened !?!?!?!

Spoked wheels !   That is unusual on that model.

That’s a good combo to swap between an XR and R1200 but the after market sus really will be the thick end of the edge,the only bike I run that hasn’t got got aftermarket is my KTMGT and Jeeze is their a difference

06:30hr start, 4 trains, 6 if you include the tube.. while wearing my bike gear  267 mile ride home.. arrived on my drive 19:15hr but I did stop to help a damsel in destress, can you still say that?  changed a wheel for her. 

Loved every mile, what a simple but engaging ride, like the olden days but with decent brakes and suspension..
