Need to get one or the other - cant decide.

If I go down the dash cam route I would fit the Innovv Mk3 - does anyone know of a 'youtube' fix to an XR available?

What purpose do you want the camera for? For recording your riding and cool things + scenery, having the camera on your head as a gimbal is far superior. I always found fixed camera views to be a cool secondary camera angle but not good for a video. For dashcam, you're probably better suited for a fixed "fit and forget" type dashcam. Carrying a helmet cam around daily and remembering to have it on, etc is a bit of a pain, and anything inconvenient people will stop doing regularly.

Basically it would be for if an unfortunate event took place of not my doing!! - i.e. not my fault in an accident.  More and more insurance companies are relying on this footage to determine who's to blame as well as police for prosecution.

I use a Gopro attached to the front of the XR behind the screen powered off the USB power socket 64GB lasts about 4 hours.

When I'm teaching on the F800 "CBT ~ DAS" I have a Sana 4k intercom system that records what I say and the student, good but it needs an external battery as after two hours the camera will stop but the com's will keep going.

For the XR I've been looking at the innovv-k2 system (https://www.innovv.com/innovv-k2) which I think looks better then a Gopro and records back and front, which would do for the DashCam and the bit of road you want to Instagram to the fan baes.  :038:
I’d rather be laying in the Sun like a cat, than working like a dog for the cash!

Dont think they do the K2 now as its been replaced with the K3 - which on all accounts has better quality footage as well as some other additional features that the K2 didn't have.

For just recording what's going on around you, I fitted the K2 to my Gen 1 XR, front cam under the RHS indicator with a 3d made mount, and fastened the rear cam under the rear top box carrier. Works ok for me. Rear cam is important for being rear ended!!

For recording scenic views, I use a Gopro on my chin, in stabilised mode, and that gets the shots I want, powered by an external battery bank, so it lasts all day, but is cumbersome, but that's the price you pay.

And this is the sort of thing you need it for.....(albeit, not the K2 on this occasion)

I have decided to go for the Innovv K3 and it should be arriving any day now.

Its a straight forward fit - BUT - it would be handy if any of you out there had fitted one to say where you placed all the various components and possibly take an image to post?

It would give me a few options and help.

    Thanks in advance.
