    Rear Linkage

I’ve just carried out rear shock linkage maintenance ,and during reinstalling I have put the bolt that connects the bottom of the shock ( the bolt that sits between the dog bones ) in the opposite way from the way it came out. Reason for doing this was that it was impossible to get the T55 torx into the head of the bolt when it was facing the exhaust. I’m assuming there should be no issue with this as dimensions should be equal on both sides ? Probably a daft question , but my OCD side starts to worry me unduly. Thanks

This sounds a bit like owning an FJR1300, you have to drop the silencers to get the centre stand bolts out just so you can get access to the linkage bolts.
The simple answer to the problem is exactly as you have done and reverse the bolts without any issues at all.
