2021 S1000XR Oil Quantity Question

Hi,
I apologize in advance for asking a question like this but I wasn't able to find an answer as of now.

I thought it was different than my last bike which was an RR.
The manual for my 2021 XR says approximately 1.1 gallon or 4 litters so I am not sure which one is it since one gallon is slightly different quantity than 4 litters, or does it really matter since the difference is around 164 milliliters. When I bought the oil from the dealer they specifically told me that I don't need more than 4 litters.
Or am I missing something.

When my XR had its 1000 km service on Monday I was standing and watching the mechanic and he said the bike is full to the max with 4 liters and that include a filter change. So when he put the 4 liters in after filter replacement the oil level was at max.

I noticed something and asked the mechanic about it. The bike is shipped from the factory with a small oil filter for the 1000 km break in and then a bigger correct size filter is fitted. The mechanic stated that a few of the new bikes now is shipped with a break in small filter that is good only for the first 1000 km
