Anyone actually verified their bike is registered with the Datatag company.

I emailed Wednesday and replied by Thursday and found it wasn't done by the dealer on purchase as required.

A picture / copy of the inside of the V5 and picture / copy of the Datatag bar codes is all they need in return so i await a further reply its on the system.

I’ve bought… ahem, a few new bikes over the last 10 years or so, all BMW, all from the same dealer, and since Datatag has been factory fit as part of the Master scheme I’ve always had an email from Datatag a day or two before picking up the bike. The only time it hasn’t happened is with used bikes, but then it’s down to you to contact them to do the transfer (or arrange it with the seller if it’s a private sale). I think it’s about £20 in this case.

My bike has been updated on the datatag system, only took 3 days and done for free.

    Decent response.

I guess as mines bought near new and not the original keeper being the issue, all good though  :152:
