How easy are they to fit? I'm due to pick up my XR next Friday in London then ride straight to Liverpool to get the ferry to IOM for the Classic TT in the evening. It would be no great hardship to go via Chesterfield and pop them on on the way.

I am going to the classic TT and Manx GP as well but I will leave on the Friday morning at 3AM. I could take them over with me, we could meet and I will help you fit them, Just two screws and a few cable ties is all that needs doing. The engine must be cold though.
Let me know what you want to do.

No I am keeping this bike forever, best machine I have ever owned. I am just going down the lightness and simplification route and I have fitted an extended carbon fibre fender extender which does a pretty good job.
More carbon beckons but the cheapest solution will probably be when I can lose a couple of stone off my own waist

Hi Tom
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but yes please if you could take them to the IOM I'll have them. I'm staying in Onchan near Signpost Corner. Are you there all week?
Can you PM me a mobile number so that we can make contact.
Thanks
Phil

Hi Tom
Yes, it worked. Didn't look at the forum yesterday.
Strangely I got an e-mail notification of your new post but not your PM (unless I deleted it by accident).
Any thoughts on when would be best for me to pick up the "merchandise". As I'm sure you know it's racing Saturday, Jurby Sunday, racing Monday so maybe Tuesday would be good?
