Hey all, thinking about getting an S1000XR TE model.  Can the satnav cradle be easily removed or do you need to get a replacement bar clamp or bolts to be shot of it?  Alternatively, anyone know if it's possible to get a quadlock on the satnav cradle arm?

I removed mine in about 10 minutes. Only the screen needs to be removed.

The plug is down by the left fork leg and can be accessed without removing any panels.

The crossbar it attaches to is 12mm in diameter. There are loads of different mount available. I’m sure that you can find a quadlock one.

Quadlock mounts do fit to the bar.

Can you fit a quadlock so that the phone is held in portrait orientation on the GPS bar above the dash and behind the screen?  And still allow the screen to move up and down?  🤔

Yeah works in either orientation with a galaxy note which is a large phone.

I bought the Scooter / Motorcycle - Mirror Mount with phone vibration damper.
