Another EzCan query

Hello all.I've just bought a gen 1 XR.I have an EzCan module that I removed from a 2015 R1200r.Anyone know if this will fit the XR?TIA.

As far as I know it will not fit. According to the packaging on the box an XR ezcan II only fits both gen 1 and gen 2 XR, K1600GT, K1600GTL, K1600 Bagger, F750GS, F850GS, F850GS Adv and the F900XR. I assume it is down to differences in the can/bus programming between the various models that makes them incompatible.
 
I have an XR ezcan II that I was looking to put on a 1250RS hence I checked it all out (sadly they are not compatible).
