    Wide boots?

    Hi Folks,

I'm curious what boots folks with wide feet like.  I've heard Daytona's are well regarded, but I have a hard time finding them in Canada.  I have used Gaerne for many years but they are still a bit too narrow for me.  I'm looking to replace a pair that are many years old and am starting to shop around.

Depending on the brand of shoes I usually use a 9 (US) EEEE.

After a leg injury, the swelling caused my already wide foot to get wider.

I tried the full length Daytona boots in the wide fitting offered in some of the range. No joy as getting past the reinforced ankle was difficult.

I then tried some short Daytona boots and they are easier to get on. I use Daytona Rainbow GTX in summer and Daytona Journey XCR GTX (GTX for Goretex) in winter as they are a wider fit so take my heated insoles and winter socks.

Whilst you may not see Daytona, do you have any short boot options?

I was looking at some Rev'It options for short boots or shoes.  I've tried Dainese and Sidi short boots but they are far too narrow.  I've also tried Icon boots but wasn't really impressed with the quality or comfort.  I've heard Alpinestars might be an option for wider feet, but also looking for other suggestions.

The only brand I've seen advertise wide versions are Daytona, but I've not seen them in stock in any Canadian retailer.

I love the videos by the chap in a cap, but I like to try things on.  If I make a trip over the pond I'd consider going to visit them.  Europe seems to have much better gear than North America.  I like Stadler or Rukka gear too but thats about as hard to find in Canada as Daytona boots.

Definitely Daytona, quality and wide fit.I recently did a track day and was looking for a cheap boot to buy/wear.
After trying on numerous pairs, ended up wearing my Daytona's. :001:

Have you contacted Rubber Side Down in Richmond? They make custom suits and may be able to help with a local solution.

I have wide feet and find the alpinestars acceptable. My feet are sore just looking at sidis
