Swapping RR Engine into XR?

I've wanted the M1000XR because almost all my riding is now on track. But I don't have the money.

A RR Engine near me recently came up for sell. I'm wondering about the possibility of swapping the RR into my current XR.

Outside of the man hours and wrenching. Has this been done? I imagine the electronics is the biggest issue. Anyone else ever chase this route or could point me in the right direction?

Gen-1 or Gen-2..??

There's a chap on here, Jason Willoughby, who has essentially fitted the top end and electronics of an RR into his Gen-1 and had it tuned to suit, he's also on the Facebook XR group. Clever chap too.

I have an RR engine ready to swap, just not got around to it yet due to other projects. I have already have the RR variable length inlet airbox and it's been flashed by Phil Crowe. So will get him to map it for the RR engine when I finally pull my finger out.

I just swapped my gen 1 to RR head last winter. With airbox change its basically RR motor setup.
