Does any one have the Cobrra Nemo 2 chain oiler installed? How does it work for you? Is it any good?

I have one on the Gen1 for about a year now.
Works pretty good and does not leak (only after refilling)
It does need a turn every 100 to 150km

Made my own electronic oiler system...only cost me ~$30 Aussie sheckles to setup, does exactly the same thing as a $400 Scott-Oiler. Has been on the bike since mid 2017 and hasn't missed a beat. My DID chain and aluminium rear sprocket has 55k km on it now and still in good condition.

    Smithy.

Pretty simple really, I just used a "normally closed" 12v solenoid valve powered by an ignition switched supply under the seat, a 150ml plastic bottle with some silicone tubing and run through a manual Festo flow regulator....all gravity fed to the rear sprocket. Took about 3-4 commutes to work to get the flow adjusted to my liking and it's been fine ever since.

55.000km on one chain and one set of chain wheels? I've gone thru 3 sets by then. I have a by now €300 or so invisible gps regulated pro-oiler system. Don't think it prolonges life but does keep it well lubricated and efficient, minimal powerloss.

Coming up to 56k km now...and with an aluminium rear 42T sprocket, will probably need replacement in the next 2-3k km though, it has done very well. Those who say aluminium sprockets don't last have no idea.

It "WILL" prolong the life of your chain and sprockets.

I "WILL" prolong the life of your chain and sprockets.

I suppose you use a heavy grade gear oil like SAE 75W90 or 80W90 or SAE 140?

I used SAE 75W90 from Royal Purple on our chains for a few years now and my wife's Z650 Kawasaki chain made it to 24000 km before some links got stiff and this was only oiling it manually. So I belief by supplying oil to the chain with an oiler will greatly extend the chain and sprocket life like you said. We do not mind cleaning the rim and chain guard, it is part of the fun cleaning the bikes regularly.

    Back to the subject.
I have a Cobrra Nemo. Had it for about 6 years.
It does exactly what it promises.  It is well made, fits unobtrusively on the side of my Mk 1 XR and by turning the lid a measured amount of oil is dispensed.
There isn't a huge reservoir, but the small size means it doesn't look too domineering and it doesn't take up precious under seat space. It is a bit fiddly to refill, but no more than most.
If you want to mechanically control how much oil and when, it will do the job just fine and I think it looks good too.
