    Hey all,

Let’s say you just found about 5 to 6K down the back of the “VAT” sofa  :038:, what classic bike would you go out and get?

I’ve got an air head 80’s R80 café racer and my XR gen 2 and a F800st.

I do fancy a two stroke.  As a youth I had more RD’s and DT’s than I’d care to say, so not one of those.

Sort of tempted by a BSA Bantam but not too sure if that would scratch that itch.

Or do I go for something like another four stroke as I guess late 90’s and early 20’s are starting to become usable classics.

    Suggestions and opinions welcome.

    Thanks :028:
I’d rather be laying in the Sun like a cat, than working like a dog for the cash!

First things first,Hoar Park garden centre just outside of Coleshill of a Wednesday we start turning up from 9am ish no idea how long the meet goes on for but as no one is in any rush to go to work 😜 for some it’s an all day job, guess we are talking 2/300 bikers on a sunny day,ask all the questions you can muster, the kit that guys turn up on range from early Velo’s to the same in two strokes.

With currently 6 modernish bikes got more than enough, but if I ever do go that route it’ll be a 69 Bonneville.

Put the money towards a good, unmolested Honda SP1.

Don't go for anything ancient - as the people who get misty-eyed over their youth, are dying off.

Having watched a guy spend 20 minutes trying to start an early 70’s Boni outside Crossgates cafe in Wales today you’ve no idea how close to the truth you are 😜.

thanks guys, Honda SP1 sounds like a good shout which got me to thinking about V twins.

Maybe a KTM RC8r, they look like a good call as they are on the rise due to KTM doing well in Moto GP.

You might need to look down the back of the sofa for some more cash if you are thinking of a VTR 1000 SP-1 as they seem to start at least £8000  for one in decent condition 😊?
