    Low or Normal Seat?

I just bought a secondhand 2016 S1000XR and this may be the first bike that will require me to get a shorter seat. I found a part number etched into the bottom of the seat. The problem is it doesn't seem to match either of the part numbers on the part fiche. I have 53527717177. Looks like the low seat is 52537717178 and the normal seat is 52537717179. Am I missing something? What seat do I have?

Edited to add: I have made a schoolboy error in posting before my first cup of coffee and only afterwards realising that despite it being more obvious than obvious, I am looking at a photo of a Gen 1.  I leave my post up for anyone else who needs this info in the future, though.  :430:

You don't have the low profile seat.  I do on my Gen 2, and the base for the rider is much, much thinner - but in my experience and despite what others have found, still very comfortable and suitable for all day, multiple day, touring.  I weigh about 80Kg in my riding gear.  See photo from the Czech Republic this summer, during which trip I found that long days in the saddle were all good.  My 6 foot tall son found the pillion seat as identically comfortable to the M Sport seat that the bike came with.

My BMW Motorrad dealer invoice from July this year says:

    C52.53.8.392.781
    424923/Low profile

    Unit price £341.66
    Discount £34.10
    Net price £307.50
    VAT £61.50
    Gross price £369.00

I hope this answers your question.
