First time changing a chain, not sure if my rivets are OK
Got a spare master link to practice before putting the gold one in in case you're wondering
DID spec for the rivet flares is 0.224 to 0.236 inches & mine are 0.232, other links are 19.11mm and the master link is 19.10
Half tempted to leave it as is, not sure I could do any better a second time round

You obviously used a very accurate pair of verynear callipers
(your chain looks a bit manky for being newly fitted, though
)

Looks perfectly fine to me, and yeah, I would just leave it as is.

I thought the same! It was truly caked in whatever grease DID package it with… I’ve given it a thorough wipe down since and added a nice layer of chain lube and it looks much better
