    Front disc change

Shouldn't need to make this post but I'm about ready to give up . . . . . . . just need to change front discs, f**king easy job right?
Now snapped 4 T30 bits, last one brand new and supposedly "Impact socket bit" with mild pressure with 1/2 inch ratchet. And so far only cracked 3 of the left side disc bolts, not started on the right yet . . . . .
Tried a couple with applying heat to disc bolt/area but still not budged and snapped bit.

Any ideas how to get these f**king things out without buying shares in a never ending supply of T30 bits?

Oh they're a #### alright... BMW used the strongest loctite known to mankind... Use a LOT of heat and twist very very slowly. I snapped a bit in mine the first time I tried too...

I bought OEM Brembos from ebay as replacement for 250 quid + 38 quid for a new set of bolts from BMW Very cheap brakes on this bike due to no carrier for the disc. Bobbins are included with OEM set

Brembo Serie Oro discs with bobbins, just under £200 (was 220 but had offer on 10% off)

Dropped the original wheels out of the XR within weeks of buying it new in 16 and fitted Dymags, without the slightest problem, other bikes I’ve got went with full floating discs,,but still have the originals on which are wearing well.
